Suspension

Post  Lukey on Mon Mar 01, 2010 7:27 pm

Currently lowered 35mm on Spax springs but with standard shocks.

Just wondering what the best options are for upgrading the shocks and possibly going lower? Any coilover kits available that don't cost an arm and a leg?

Have seen some GTi's lowered 60mm on springs but not sure who makes those/ what shocks to use with them or even if it's a good idea going that low!

dont go to low, it will ruin the handling
for road use just uprate the damper so they can handle the new spring rates, koni red or yellow
i dont think there is a cheap set of full coilovers for these, you could make some but that will cost a bit to if you arnt doin the work

read mixed reviews on them. some swear they are perfect some say they leak a lot..

that guy on ebay said to me that he just bought a gti to develop a set of suspension for out swifts, and that the ebay listing is only for 05- up models.
