hi steve, is that ur swift with the fat arches?... i took my swift off road and gave it a complete respray and body kit and was thinking for ages about bringing out the arches but didnt do it as i didnt want to b off road for too long. now wishing i done it. does anyone kno where to get them arches from?

hi mate thats my old swift im getting another one today am not really into bodywork these days i made those arches scrapped them in the end couple more pics on redline under 1.0 to 1.3 conversion post

This is my swift Gti sown on the side.
In all its got on it.
15' OZ racing alloys on BFGoodrich tyres
Lowered 35mm
Upgraded front gas shocks(not sure what make there blue)
powerflow exhaust system
K&N induction kit
Janspeed 4 branch manifold
Tinted rear windows
Blacked out rear lights front and side indicators.
Toad alarm imobaliser and centrall loking.
Kenwood cd player with all original speakers upgraded and two extras in the parcel shelf.

Next hopefully cams
And stage 2 chip to go on.

it looks fat ... got a scraped nova and thinking to cut of the arches and do something with them but dont wanna go over the top so i think im gonna leave the car as it is... jus fitted a 4-1 manifold... no more flat spots Smile

Nice car mate you should slowly build into a gti. My cousins half way from turning his 1.3 8valve into a gti. Not a hard job to do.

hiya all im from Redcar, cleveland. this is my 2002 1.0 swift, im learning in at the moment so no serious mods but planning to keep it for a few years.got driving test booked on 22 may , soon after that il be getting tints alround , gti side skirts,14' or 15' alloys , also got now plain black sun strip, free flow filter...

Here's a couple of pics of mine that i took today... Currently renovating her to get her back on the road within the next couple of weeks. In the process of refurbing my alloys / tidying up the bodywork a little, and stripping the interior.



As you can see I've not done the rear wheel yet lol





Decided to paint the bonnet badge in gunmetal grey, was going to leave it off but whatever it was held on with before had reacted badly with the paint, so i sprayed it and stuck it back on. As you can also see, i need a new bonnet as one night i forgot to fasten my bonnet pins and it flew up, smashing the windscreen!

Welcome to the forum very nice cars indeed i can relate to the badge being a pain someone stole mine off and its gone all rusty where it used to be P.S Redcar good luck on the test

thanks, i passed car test Very Happy my car now looks like this ...








booking car in to get windows tinted alround next week Cool i cant wait, as nearly got skinn burn last time it was sunny,its shocking how clear my glass is im sure gti's aint as clear Shocked
