Hi,
I got M10 bolts which is 12.9 spec for much cheaper than ARP bolts.
That what Mike aka Suprf1y from Teamswift sells as HD items.
It works fine but I know ARP bolts are nice.
I got a set from Andy aka Garndi as well.
Just letting you know cheap option.
Cheers

Re: **wanted** new head bolts
Hi Ross,
I bought 2 sets from Mike and found out that it is just cap head screws which you can buy set of 10 for less than £10.
Standard head bolts are stretch type so I wouldn't recommend using it again.
Even though some people said it is OK to use and they are using it with turbo engine and so on.
If you need a set, let me know I will let you know who can buy it from off 16vmini club site.
You will need to keep your washer as they are special size(outer diameter is smaller than usual).
I also bought one set from Andy which I will be using when I go turbo as I don't like cap head screws.
Cheers

Re: **wanted** new head bolts
thats one of the reasons i didnt use a 12.9 cap head atchi
i toy`d with the idea, and i know they are very strong but studs are stronger than bolts just coz the hole thing isnt twisting under the tourqe load when your doing it up
iv sheared a 12.9 m10 cap bolt before and i was surprized and how little it takes when its being turned
on another note i dont supose you can send the pistons back when you send the other stuff?
im looking to sell them v soon, thats unless you still want them?
i know they still need reaming but if the bloke says they are fine its good enough for me mate

Re: **wanted** new head bolts
Hi Gary,
I can send you your pistons, no problem.
I still haven't taken gearbox apart. So I will send down pistons by itself.
As, I'm trying to make CAD data for adaptor plate before I send it down to you.
I'm taking Friday off so I can take 993 gearbox apart and send it to you next week.
It's your pistons, so you don't have to ask me like this! Just tell me.
Cheers
