the engines the heart of the beast if your going to the trouble of a rebuild you want it to look the bollocks

as said above i want it looking nice and when i lift the bonnet i wanna look at it like wow thats nice rather its just another dirty engine.

change of plan now it wont be in this weekend, im going to wet and dry the manifold and polish and send for an acid bath this week.

looking good mate, theres nothing like cranking up a new engine, even i was a bit nervous the 1st time Laughing

on another note, iv got a couple of spare gti inlets that i was thinking of changing the t/b plate to the r/h side if anyone wants that sorta thing that is

id love a cultus manifold, just rare. Sad
i would paint mine if i have confidence it wouldnt flake, so im just goin to sand it down polish and make it shiney hopefully, well only the bits u can see lol

cultus manifold easy to get if you want to spend about £200

strider gets them all the time he has 2 at the moment i think

wasnt showing off the cultus, just the prep and paint job
the key to painting ali engine parts is to use a good etch primer and paint that can take a bit of heat, dusnt have to be proper high temp paint just be able to cope with the heat of an engine bay
i also put some clear engine laquer on mine and baked it at 100deg for each layer of paint etc
no flakes so far Very Happy
