GTI engine wanted !

I need a engine, if anyone lives not far from bristol with one please tell me thanks, needs to have run befor taken out of car

problem is its on the Isle of Wight, the guy offered to end the auction for £150 for me, but then I realised it was about another £40-50 in fuel and £40 for the ferry.
It has a gearbox, no inlet or injection though and it's been sat around for 3 years.

this is true

its only 85 miles from me in bristol but then the ferry etc sucks !

I'd say it was worth £150 if thats what it cost to buy and get home, wouldn't want to pay any more for an engine with no history, I'd want to do a re-build on it purely because of the lack of history.

you could always get on as a passenger with a barrow and get him to meet you at the other side

I can see the Isle of Wight from my house, the ferry crossing is one of the most expensive in the world in terms of how much per mile

still need a engine !
