When I asked similar question, one guy which knows his way around turbos, answered me like this:
You can increase boost as much as you wish,as long u don't have knocking in your cylinder.

Anyways, since u have vitara gasket and forget pistons,i guess you can go more than 10psi,which is about
fail safe value for stock engines

rod bolts and rods are your problem with good managment i would say 14-18 psi on a td04 or similar sized turbo is fine

buy an mls gasket, someone on here has the suzuki part number. You can run 1bar fine on vitara but i know your asking because you want to go higher. And the gti rods are forged, i wouldnt worry about them.

Let me ask you guys here, since its topic about gasket. Can I use vitara head gasket on stock gti 74mm pistons?
Would it bring me any good(better)?
And also if it is a go,than can u provide with part number, model year,or something to track it easyer?
Thanks!
