rear hatch brace

Post  dominator on Thu Mar 24, 2011 5:02 pm

iv had a request for a rear hatch brace, like civics have
just seeing if theres any interest for them
i doubt they will cost that much, its just a bar and some fixing brackets
iv been looking into it on some honda forums and some of them are just silly, might aswell get a full cage
personaly i cant see what advantage that 1 bar will give the chassis apart from if you have a crash, but im sure i could develop something that could tho, prob going to the rear turrets or topmounts

Hi mate.

How does this differ to a strut brace, like the one you made me?

Any pics of the honda ones?

the 2nd pic will sorta work but they all look like theyv got rod ends or summing on so they will keep it stiff but it wont stop the chassis twisting
iv been looking even deeper into this basicly if theres any bolt goin to the chassis then theres a brace for it, even seen one goin from the front-rear seat belt mounts, with the belts still fitted, thats even more pointless Laughing
say what you want about civics but there is a huge amount of aftermarket parts for them, some of the rear susp setups are near race car standards

i will make a few eventually but iv got bigger fish to fry atm
