gearbox issue

hello all, my gti's gearbox has just started sounding like a load of marble's rolling around in there, mainly in reverse and 2nd 4th and 5th, it go's through the gears perfect as allways but is the noise an indication the box is on its way out, do you think an oil change would be a good idea, plus the clutch is on its last legs so would this be a problem, Regards Nick.

could be your release bearing but these gearboxs aint renowned for reliability take ot off and see first you will know by spinning the input shaft by hand if its knackered or not wont feel smooth etc

i also have a gearbox for sale and a exedy clutch kit that was used for 3 miles

dont drive it you just make it worse
