larger Master cylinder

Been a searching and found a few anecdotes and some hearsay.
Im looking to increase the master cylinder size as after the brake conversion the pedal is a little long for my liking. All works as expected but Id prefer a shorter pedal
Standard master cylinder size is 20.6mm Im looking for a larger one
some mention a vitara master cylinder, has anyone done it. the 89-00 1.6 has a 22.2mm and this should suffice...but does it fit...anyone done it?
