clutch kits

Post  PaulW on Mon Jun 20, 2011 7:18 am

Ive just bought a 3 piece clutch kit to fit while the engine is out. I gave the motor factors the reg number and model of car like you would normally.

I got the kit home and while the pressure plate and release bearing looks the same as the ones i took out, the friction disc isn't. It is the correct diameter and has the correct splines. The centre part of it around the spline hole is ever so slightly concave. The old one is flat.

The part number on the box is j2008003 and if you do a search it appears to be the right one for the G13B engine. I cross checked it here http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/Su...ch%20Kits.aspx and it looks like there are variants on the addition info such as AA33 / AA51 / AA53 / AA34 / AA35 / AB35 / AA35 / AB35. Have i got the right one?

sounds about right, aslong as its got the same number of splines same dia and the centre section is no thicker then im sure its fine
the concave bit on the spline just helps the inputshaft go in a bit easyer
