Hello from Madras and Coventry

Post  Stig on Wed Sep 07, 2011 12:52 am

Hello guys

I'm a thorough petrolhead from Madras, India. I'm currently doing my masters at Coventry University.
I drive a 16 valve SOHC swift sedan back home. Wanted to find fellow swifters in the UK and thats how I got onto this site.
The swift sedan was last produced in 2007 in India. But, it still reigns as the car to win national racing championships with. I'll post a few pictures shot by friends and acquaintances of the championship races.
Posting a picture of me and my car on the circuit designed by Sir Jackie Stewart Smile
Cheers

Is it for a G16B?
The G16B came in the Baleno that found limited success in India due to its initial pricing.
Due to the low numbers, Maruti Suzuki decided not to localise a lot of the parts. Hence, a lot of spares are SGP (Suzuki Genuine Parts) mostly imported from Japan. Very expensive and difficult to source.
There are no online motor parts store in India.
I would suggest you try other sources where the car was successful commercially. Japan or South east asia.

£180 postage :O

iv only ever been taxed on parcels from USA not australia, malaysia, hungary or anywhere else. but could have been lucky.
