great car, wud love 2 c the j20a conversion 500bhp:O

just wondered wot the differences there are in gti and cultus engines, as i can get hold of a cultus engine with a whole in the sump, iv read other forums but no1 really gives a clear answer on the differences,

Head?
Cams?
imtake manifold & tb?
Pistons? compression 11.5?

Cheers

cultus engine

cams .5mm more lift
pistons 11.5-1
injectors have a better spray pattern
ecu has a different map
inlet and exhaust manifold are better

thats it not worth it unless its cheap just go turbo

i wana go turbo and rebuild an engine for it,(forged conrods, vitara pistons lightened crank, etc.), but the blokes got 2 engine, the cultus with the conrod thro the sump and a normal gti engine, he sed i can take 1 for £50 and mix and match if i want. So i can start the rebuild on that engine and still drive mine until its ready

might be jumping the gun here
but if you get the cultus engine, i`l take the pistons and cams off your hands
i know you wouldnt want to part with the intake, who would!!
thats if it is a cultus, i wouldnt part any cash till i saw the right parts
