take it off and put it in a pan of boiling water to see if it opens.

thats what the manual says to do to check its functioning correctly i believe.

Hi,

What do youmean by rough?
Is it hanting like 2500rpm to 1200rpm as if you are reving then let it go?
If this is the case you just need to clean inside. You have crap in inside and it has air leaks.
I have 2 spares so I can check if any of them are in good conidtion if you would like.

Oh did you fit gearbox yet?

Hi,

If you take off cold start valve, you will see a hole.
This hole is for bypassing air when cold to increase rev to 2000rpm.
As coolant warms up, waxo stat melt and close the gap. This in effect shut off extra air for cold start.
I think you have some crap stack in this gap and it's not working as it should.

Hi! If you still have a working air valve would you please let me know if you sell it? If so, can you please tell me the price and if you can send it to Greece (all expenses will be paid of course)?

Thank you,
Theo

Thanks Atchi! I appreciate your help! cheers

Although IACVs are built to last (like forever!), it seems that the wax inside mine is destroyed and idle revs between 1500 and 2000 rpm even when warm.

I hope you have a working one cause driving is really annoying while in traffic.

Cheers,
Theo

Hi Theo,

I checked and I have one in good condition.
I think cheapest postage is £20. So, if you give me £30 for it. I will send it to you.
You will need to pay me as money you owe.
If that's ok, pm me your paypal e-mail address and I will send you an invoice.

Cheers
