Justy/GTi exhaust

Post  flamby43 on Wed Oct 12, 2011 3:01 pm

Hello has all!

Then here is I am going to put the engine of a GTi in my Justy but I have a question (because all the others have to find answers ^^)

For the escape, how takes place the modification? That of the justy goes or that of the GTi or then it is necessary to modify its to pass?

So for the driving steering wheel I get back that of Justy and I stick the clutch of the GTi it is good her?

Thank you has you!

Ps: forgiveness for my English but I use a translator thus be indulgent with me Very Happy clown ^^

it doesn't make much sense with a translator, or try using a better one.

As far as I can work out, his first question is about the exhaust and wether or not he can use the Justy exhaust or not.
The second question is either about the steering wheel or I think it's actually about the flywheel and clutch and how the engine mounts to the gearbox!
But it would definitely be worthwhile finding a better translator!

Sorry !

Yes my first question is about exhaust !

I wanted to know what is going on the adaptation of the exhaust, if it is necessary for me to do a custom or that of the justy or the GTi will do?

Then yes it is a question on the flywheel, I realized the importance of using one of the justy but for the clutch, which should I use? that of the justy or that of the GTi?

Thank you!

I believe the Justy and GTi exhausts are different enough not to be interchangeable, however the Justy exhaust is quite simple so should be easy/cheap enough to have one made see here

GTI downpipe and CAT Converter and custom back from joint
As for the Clutch, use justy flywheel, clutch and friction plate.

For a NA engine I believe the ideal diameter is 2 - 2 1/4 inch and for a turbo engine 2 1/2 inch.

Ok so about a 50 mm! But is not it too? on my Delsol, I have a line 50 mm but it is a 1600cc! 45 mm may be more appropriate right?

Otherwise I'd do in a 50mm with tubes and elbows!

Most people use a 2 1/4 inch, it's actually proven to have the best flow, especially if you have or are planning to up the power.

Hello again,

In fact I have another question, this one for the header / catalytic how did you manage to get the catalyst for the GTi?

Because we are in France you can not put CAT converter for the MOT!

So if you have a tip I take too!

thank you
