viscous coupling

alright pps i prob gunna sound really dim now but where is the coupling to on a justy is it in the gearbox or the diff

its in the nose of the diff and provide connection and disconnection along the central prop shaft to the rear wheels depending on load. I believe it uses magic to do this.
