1986 Mk1 Swift GTi for sale - Nr Leicester - £400

Hi guys,

Well my wife has decided that it is time to part with the Mk1, it has had much love over the past few years, but we just don't have the time to give it what it deserves.

It is a Mk1 in white just under 80k miles with all the bills to back it up
G13b engine with matching numbers
New cam belt 3 years ago but only done about 5k miles since
Rebuilt suspension, new lower arms polybushed
Rebuilt brakes
Full original sport interior
Prelude 15" wheels with virtually new Kumho Ecsta Sport tyres

There are a few things that need doing to get it up to scratch, firstly the paint it less than satisfactory, due to years of being left in the sun, however there is virtually no corrosion! I have removed all of the bodykit to investigate the state of the sills wings and chassis, only to find one 2p sized hole in the sill near to the drivers rear wheel, and thats it!
There is a shallow dent in the passenger side rear wing that should pull out.

Well she will need some work to get her 100% again, but Mk1's are so rare now especially GTi's and I really don't want it ending up with a mini owner being chopped up so he can get rid of his archaic boat anchor!

Hopefully it will find a sypathetic buyer that will see it for its merits, get the bodywork back into shape, then turbocharge it!

Yes, I'm the one with G13B engine in a Mini.
I would love to buy it and fit Justy driving gear to it and Turbo charge it!

I wish I could buy it... but my better half said if I buy another car without her knowing. I will be signing a paper ! That will be expensive!

Right, some pictures!

First of all, to get the car roadworthy it will need a new radiator (you may be able to solder the current one as it has a brass / copper core), the TPS needs adjusting to get a smooth idle as it is hunting a little, and they tyres need blowing up! it should go straight through the MOT as there is has done about 500 miles since the last one.
