Iv been thinking of doing my own soon, oe dampers are 45mm od, so you will have to put a sleave in to fill the gap

45mm on the front or back and its not strong enuff especially on the back getting a lot of flex due to civics having double wishbone setup

Defo front, iv got a spare at work, im sure the rears are aswell but they are sealed units so you will have to be carefull when welding the thread on, or have a go at draining them 1st

front struts are 44mm external diameter and will need an additional sleeve/packing to accept the readily available 2 inch rally design style threaded sleeves. 45mmID sleeves are available but expensive
If your going to do this Id suggest offseting the sleeve in wards to allow more wheel clearance but the top spring mount will also require ofsett drilling, best see if Rally deisgn will sell undrilled tops or if their D top can be offset drilled to suit, we are talking 3mm or so
The rear turrets may not be strong enough to hold the weight of the car if the rears are converted to coilovers. and may need reinforcing. While looking around rally design look at the turret boxes for Mk1/Mk2 escorts this is what you need and even then may still want to be laterally braced or attached to a cage. As mentioned above after propper welding the rear shock absorbers will want a rebuild to remove the weld penetration flare on the inside

I believe the rears will also need sleeving as they are of similar dimensions. how is the cage attached to the rear turrets...photos as if its the side the coilover may try and bust through the top

O rite Kool in that case do you think if i weld a top cap on the sleve and put a hole in it for the piston rod and weld the thread to the sleve do u think that will hold to save welding to the shock and at the my cage goes to the wheel bit gona put a brace down to the top mount

no dont like that idea at all, these things want to be very secure and done properly. what you might be able to do is just try it with lighter welds and hope.

Koni only make one type of shock absorber for our swifts these are adjsuted but pushing the shaft all the way in and rotating till they click in and then adjusting. These need to be adjusted out of th ecar. there is a similar sized shock absorber that fits the e82 starlet I think? it is top adjustable and actually shorter so we can run lower. check out here and redline.
Cheers
