front struts

Is there any difference between front struts on a mk1 and mk2 gti and the same for the top mounts

i would imagine there different as they have different part numbers.
i dont think there is much that is interchangable between mk1 and mk2

Ok. Is there anyone around the farnborough, hants area that has one I can look at. With a bit of luck they might not be too much different and we can make some "adjustments"

iirc...they are same apart from a spring diameter.
I think best bet will be to get over to Teamswift or Redline as some of them has mk1 and mk2 Gtis.

Cheers Atchi. All I am trying to do is work out what I can use in the case of bilstien failure on my mk1. Just looking at all options to get an understanding.
