Re: why did you choose a swift
i first got a swift gti back in 2004 as a cheap run a round from a mate for £450, it was a black F reg, i was totally amazed by how fast it was, i also had an E reg mk2 cavalier sri at the time and decided to get rid of the swift and put the cav back on the road, anyway i got my current swift from another mate last year and sold the cav, i really wish i kept the F reg swift tho.

Re: why did you choose a swift
well, i fell in love with my swift gti when i was 10 in 1990, we went from middlesbrough to keighley and had a barbeque at the suzuki garage and at midnight when it turned 1st of august everyone drove off in their brand new h reg's
i remember while we were driving home, thinking if my dad ended up keeping the car until i was 17 then it might end up mine.....well it did, i was lucky enough for my dad to sell me it in 1997 when i passed my test. my dad had already fitted a janpeed exhaust/mani and a k+n, i lowered it got some alloys and a chip (was 1997 so off the shelf chips were all that was really available)
was rapid, beat loads of stuff including 205 gti's, golf gti's, sunny gti, cav sri's, rs turbo's.....wasn't really any subaru's etc about so i beat most things i came across.
just about to build a vtec 2002 swift that looks like a mk2 ph1...well have already started but rain is stopping me at the moment

I was leaning to drive and all my mates had saxo's,nova's and AX's and I wanted somethink difference so I bought a mk1 swift gs (1,3 8v) for £70. I did some light mods to the engine. It was quick until I rolled it though a dry stone wall and in to a sheep flied. 18months later I got a white h reg gti but hit a pothole and snapped the front suspension off. Lol So I bought a justy
