VF45 turbo over VF38 turbo?

I was told that the VF45 turbo gives more boost than the VF38 turbo. Is this true? They both sit on the same footprint so the turbo kit for them should be exactly the same.

i dont know much about the vf45 but i have a vf38 same as what dmw dave used in one of his cars very good turbo good for 24psi you will make 220whp easy with this turbo on a good setup
