speedo not working

speedo not working

took my clocks back yesterday to show the mileage it has done since the rebuild
(i know this is illegal but only if your trying to decieve people, im not as have every single mot since new and one from since the build?
anywayz?

once set new mileage an put everything back, speedo wasnt workin

consulted manual it stated speed meter cable was broken
have just fitted new one from suzuki but stil the speedo isnt workin

anyone ahd this problem or no what it is???
cable cost 40quid so pissed off as it must not have been the problem

please help cheers

make sure each end of the cable is clicked into position properly. Failing that, you might of damaged the speedo when winding the clock back...

How did you do take the mileage back?, this may explain what happened.

took the littel cogs out an had to wind it back by hand
it did get dismantled lol
but cant see how its stopped as i have put everything back into position how it was

now workin but not right

rite this is strange

was goin up the motorway and as i hit about 50 the speedo started going up went up slowly but not in sync an didnt correspond wiv the correct speed?

strange

any ideas?

just buy another speedo, I have 2 spares, what milege do you need, i'll see if either of them match

checked the bolt like ya sed
3 marks/indentations on the lower part of the thread and sort of one higher up it?

is this what you ment
put a differant bolt into it but not sorted problem

picking recond'd box up on monday and swappin over so maybe itl be right with new box on???? i dunno

the 10mm bolt just holds on the casing, undo the bolt and pull out the drive
