viscous coupling welding??????

im looking for some info on welding my 4wd justy viscous coupling and am not sure which bits 2 machine of before welding, woulding welding the bearing solid 2 the splined shaft and housing and filing the bearingwith weld work or when i make my stronger mini prop make it longer and get rid of the coupling completely work any advise and pictures would help greatly and be apriciated
