He can only have a 50cc that is restricted to 30mph by law, so that's what's in it;)

Hi im in the middle of doing the same conversion. im now doing my homework on the mods needed on changing the fuel pump i.e, what part number pump i need, is it a straight swap and is it possible to change without removing the tank.
as i havent investigated as yet Smile

The GTI pump is a straight swap, you will need to drop the rear diff & petrol tank out or VERY carefully cut a hole in the floor above the fuel tank. Fit the pump, then the fuel pump wires will need to be extended if you are using a GTI loom, the pink wire runs from the relay / ecu, the black is an earth.
Good luck with it.

Not sure of part number, but I am sure if you posted on here in the wanted section somebody would have one. If not then buy a Walbro 255, easy fit & better than the GTI one.

Don't know about the 1.0 but it cant be that hard if it runs an internal fuel pump.

If you are fitting the GTI engine you will need to change the pump, the standard one wont be powerful enough.

well my car is runing on a 1.0 pump at the minute. seems to be fine Wink

Found a picture of 1.0 pump and it looks to be same fitment as a gti. so will take the tank off on my next day off and fit the gti pumo if they are same dimensions.

The plastic canister on the GTI servo has a cut out that misses the inlet manifold, I think you can just swap the canister itself.

Jimbo's car is all rubbed down ready for respray, so not really much to show, will post pics when its done.
