wiring issues

hey guys im new to the forum brought my first gti at the weekend will post some pictures up when i can. i am having a few wiring problems can anyone help me out?



what is the missing fuse and whats it for?



what should be connected to the end of this? its like a in-line fuse?



standard wiring for stereo. could anyone tell me which will be positive , neutral and 12v

oh the joys of wiring Laughing

that fuse is for diagnostics. when u put a fuse in there and switch on ignition you check engine light will start flashing giving you a code for errors if there are any.

on stereo wiring i know that the plug with three wires is you power supply. Earth comes from an aerial plug. red/white is for back light or something and i haven't found out for sure why it is there. the other two wires is what you need though.

as daymoon sed for the fuse

and from what i can remember im sure the red&yellow wire is 12v

2nd picture what bit are u lookin at, theres lots of things goin on around there lol

in the second picture am talking about the square black plastic sleeve with a fuse in it, in the center of the picture.

i dont know what it is but its on all swifts as far as im aware it aint for nothing
