i've got the midwing from Iain in scotland, traded it for a mk2 phase 1 front splitter, he said he got it from his mate who worked at suzuki dealership, apparently you could buy it as an optional part, i also got a rollcage and a high ratio steering knuckle from him, had to drive 800 miles in one day though Laughing london - airdrie - london, left at 2 am got back at 6 pm. i got the wheels from my mate's friend who's in to drifting and he got them of a limited edition ae86 that he imported from japan, he said only 500 of those were made and came with those wheels as stock. the wheels are 14x6,5 and 14x7 not sure about the et but it's something about +10 so they stick a little on a swift

basically it's swift's shocks cut in half and used only for the mounting points, i used 4 gen civic shocks as inserts, they're a lot shorter and harder than swift ones, A LOT harder, and adjustable springs off ebay, total cost of this setup is 30 pounds for civic shocks and springs and 30 for one swift shock, the mounting holes on the front one i had were damaged, this is the rear

as you can see i still have a lot of room to go lower, the shock still has plenty room to move if i lowered the tube by 3/4, but then the exaust gets in the way and too much camber, not talking about the arches, which will be cut off and i'll put overfenders.

i don't know how good konis are, but my suspension is a huge improvement over stock Smile

Hi Gedis. The wheels look fantastic mate.

I've seen this car in the metal and its the lowest swift i've ever seen. Had diffrent wheels then though. The new ones are a million times better.

How did you get on with that engine transplant by the way?

the transplant took me about 20 hours on the street to do, runs just fine, though it still needs little adjustment Smile

a diy one Very Happy just an extended stock one, made a copy of the spoiler, cut off the end and then attached it to the midlle of the gti one at an angle and that's it Smile
