Knocking noise when pulling away hard. any ideas??

Right, if i pull away hard in 1st or reverse then i get a loud knocking noise that i can feel through the pedels and steering wheel. its almost as if the engine is moving and knocking something. it occasionally does in if i put the car into second on hard acceleration.

Also when pulling away in 2nd from a speed bump, the whole car vibrates with this knocking feeling.

Any ideas what it could be???

rear engine mount maybe?

Yer that's what I thought, but i changed that for another one that I had and it hasn't made a difference, but I spose it could be that both mounts were knackered.

Is Suzuki the best place for new mounts??

nooo talk to andy garndi get some alloy ones there cheaper than originals and heaps better

ahh right, cheers for that steve, i forgot andy did the alloy ones, which is daft as when i was doin the engine swap he said about them.

Interesting you should say cv's because mine are buggerd, or atleast one is, coz it makes the loud clicking/knocking noise on full lock, the standard buggerd cv noise.

is ebay the best place for cv's??

if its your rear mount you've probably got marks on ur steering(i think) from where the gearbox was hitting it, thats y i changed mine cause they were marks on it, i put a superflex mount in but if i knew garndi was 'the man' at the time i would of probably got his set

i got a set of his mounts
good bit of kit, but way to much for the road
iv got poly rear, garndi`s on the box end and a std on the engine now
