Hey All

Post  swiftkid on Wed Oct 06, 2010 8:41 am

Hey all, just thought I'd say hi. Im a newbie to this site but not to swifts. Owned my gls for about 6 years now and I used to be a member of ukswift back in the day.

Moved on to bigger cars now but still have my old swift tucked up in the garage. Decided I'll never drive her again as a gls 1.3 8v Sleep so will be converting her to a GTi for a bit of track fun. Picked up my engine last night so just collecting parts before I pull her heart out ready for some GTi love.

Yea, been having a look at your conversion daymoon for help but if i got rid of my car i wouldn't buy another. Its only because I have the car I'm doing the conversion, i've had it for 6 years and i just can't bring myself to sell it.

I'm from Hull area Gary. Met a few guys and gals from UKswift at Mod nationals when me and tempo went some years ago! Thats going back a bit though, now running a corrado VR6 as a daily and although i love my swift, it just doesn't compare

Fair enough. Best advise i can give you is buy a rotten GTi and use all electrics steering column and shaft on yours. easiest way about it.
