main relay question

Hi can anyone let me know if the main relay should actuate when you connect the battery or when you turn on the ignition?

if you mean the little box under the hood, with 60a fuses and such, mine makes like a click sound when i turn the ignition to "on" if that what actuates mean

Yes thank you, now i know i have mine wired up wrong and is the result of a reacuring flat battery ok i will sort it cheers again
