Ignition barrel, wiper stalks, clocks, are all different wiring / plugs, so a nightmare to put a mark 2 loom in a Justy Sad

is there anyway to tell which mk its from cause my mate doing a gti conversion and hes got a gti wiring loom but we dont know which model its from...

Look at the clock connections & you should be able to tell Very Happy

soo if i had a mk2 ignition barrel, wiper stalks and clocks i could fit it to my mk3 and off we go? because i have a mk2 loom and a mk3 chassis and there is a mk2 swift at a local scrappy.

The wiper stalk / ignition barrel may not fit your mark 3 column, also the lights may need the plugs changing. It is not straight forward using a Mark 2 loom. If you use the clocks you will need to change the dash, it goes on & on Mad
